After the winter it usually takes a couple of short hikes, 3 to 6 hour trips, to get me back in shape to tackle an all day hike. I’ve been wanting to go take photos, the ones on my site are growing roots. Anyway, the small town of Bolt has a ridge line that runs all along its southern border. The ridge makes a half circle around Bolt from the West through the East. My plan is to climb the mountain with the lifting of the fog. In other words, I’ll be leavin’ bout daybreak. I hope to be able to hike the length of the ridge from East to West before sundown. But I won’t know how long it’s going to take me or how far I can get because I have never hiked it before. I have no idea what I’m in for… (I hope tomorrow nights post doesn’t read something like… I had no idea what I was in for…
I usually like to alternate between hiking and a four wheeler. But since I am a 2000 miler in training I probably better stay on foot this year. My mission, to take some photos of my town, and enjoy a day in the mountains.
