I was shocked when I first came back to West Virginia. It is absolutely crazy the number of people taking prescription pain medication as a recreational drug. It is either being snorted or just popped by an alarming amount of people. I actually quit a job here not to long ago because nearly the whole crew was snorting pills or beans as they call them. I asked a guy one day, “What does it do for you?” “Speed on steroids,” was his reply. That was all I needed to hear. No wonder I couldn’t keep up with them. They were speeding all day and I was depending on coffee. I moved on…
I think this is a real big problem in this state. I’m sure it is in other states to, but I live in West Virginia. I know its a bigger problem here than in Ohio. Up there everybody still smokes a little wacky weed, pot, herb, mary jane, smoke, censy, green, bud. (Imagine the hits to this post)
At any rate, marijuana grows in the wild. It is easy to see why it would be a drug of choice. Availability, that is the keyword. You know it is bad when a legitimately produced drug becomes more readily available than a plant. Or has someone in the state figured out how to grow pain medication? If not, then someone is sure passing out a lot of pills to people that obviously don’t need them. There is a doctor or two in the woodpile somewhere…

Yea, any more you’ll see people smoking a joint and they’ll look at someone snorting a pill and say “I’m outta here. i didn’t know there’d be drugs here.”
