I just don’t understand people who do things like that. It’s just a shame.
That’s why I use Haloscan..if they get out of hand I can ban their IP address.
Don’t stay away too long! I quite enjoy your posts.

Thanx for the comment Taj… I won’t be going anywhere. I was upset. Have to many good readers to let one bad apple spoil it. I was looking very hard to find a way to ban their IP.
Thank you very much for commenting.

It’s too bad that there are people who will do things like that. I worry about that sort of thing a lot but, thankfully, I haven’t encountered anything like what you described yet.
Glad you’re simmered down a bit. We don’t want to lose good writers because some people are jerks.

I think it made me just as upset to see the post with my article on another outdoor blog.
The outdoor bloggers don’t have a huge presence on the internet and to stab each other in the back is uncalled for.
To discuss another outdoor bloggers articles with an anonymous poster in an underhanded way, That’s just stupid…
Hopefully, the other outdoor blogger will do the right thing.
Thanx for commenting Kristine…

You still have a really good blog going and plenty of friends like me who are discovering your site. Hope we can link up, especially since Oregon won’t be on your blogroll.

Wow. I really didn’t mean to cause such a firestorm. In fact, I came back and apologized for being wrong.
And no, I didn’t even give it a second thought about it being on the other blog. At the time, I truly believed you were advocating something that is a very bad thing for animals. And if that had been true, notifying the other blogger who was listing the site as a ‘great site’ was a good thing. At least that blogger would know where you stand on feeding animals. I certainly didn’t consider it “trashing you”, and I’m sorry you did.
Unfortunately, nobody else will see this because I am stuck posting anonymously. But I will stay away so that I don’t offend you again. No need to ban the IP, although I suppose it doesn’t matter.
You at least must have recognized by my apology (immediately afterwards) that I had mis-spoke and recognized it.
I say let he who has never posted anonymously because he’s too lazy/too rushed/too something cast the first stone.
Anyway, apologies all around.

I would have felt better about it if you had apologized on the site where you posted my article. It casts my blog in a bad light regardless of our commentary on this blog. I just couldn’t believe that…
And, no, I will not delete this post of yours because you certainly have a right to defend yourself.
I’ve moved on…
Thanx for commenting…

Ah, a light dawns. Now I know what made you mad.
At least the person who made the comment had the courtesy to come back and apologize. Many people wouldn’t have done even that.
Still, I think it is best that everyone has moved on.
