As this is a sensitive subject, I felt the need to post my opinion on the whole nasty affair.
To The Troops - Thank You
To President Bush - When are you going to realize that this is another war you can never win? Get our troops out of Iraq. Don’t you think that our presence there helps to give fuel to terrorists? I wonder how many lives would be saved just by the US leaving Iraq?
To The Terrorists - I just don’t know what you are thinking. I’ve read a large portion of the Quran and I don’t see anywhere in it where it says it is alright to kill a believer. When a bomb goes off in the street, you are murdering, plain and simple. You can call it “jihad” but that doesn’t make it so. If it is indeed a “holy war” then wouldn’t you have to abide by the terms of the Quran. This I promise you, there will be rivers flowing beneath your fiery hell, water you can see but not reach for eternity.

This world is big enough for everybody. I sit and think sometimes how inconsequential we really are. I mean, consider the universe, billions and billions of planets and stars that will be there for billions of years. As individuals, we are like an atom on a pinhead for but a second in the scheme of things and then we are gone and another atom takes our place on the pinhead. Why do we spend that one second trying to knock other atoms off the pin?
I don’t know, that’s kind of a ridiculous paragraph, but life should be enjoyed for the short time we are here. I’m not what you would call religious but more spiritual. And I believe that regardless of your individual beliefs it stands to reason that if you leave this world satisfied in your heart that you lived a good life and done right by your neighbor then you will be happy in whatever may follow this existence. I believe that a soul happy when the body dies will be a happy soul forever, and a soul in anguish at the bodies death will be in anguish for eternity. The heart is the container that houses the soul.
Do the right thing and you just may make it into your idea of Heaven, whatever it may be.

I am tired of the war just like most folks. But do you truly believe that if we left it would stop terrorism? If we leave then we have a very wealthy country that is ripe for any dictator/killer/lowlife to take over and have a homebase to attack Isreal, western Europe and even the US.
All of it scares me. We got involved because nobody else has the ability and now we are stuck.

No, I don’t believe the US leaving Iraq will stop terrorism. Terrorism is a world wide epidemic, as we all know. I just wonder how many lives would be saved, if any, if we did leave.
As far as dictator/killer/lowlife you send a team there, put a bullet in their head and be done with it.
That’s why I don’t discuss this, and that is all I have to say about the subject.
Don’t mean to sound rude or defensive just clarifying my position.
