To Grandmother’s House

…through the 100 acre wood…

…to grandmothers house we will go.”
I went hiking today on a trail that is becoming familiar to me. The entire trip is about four miles and ends at the house in the last photo.
While on this hike I thought about inspiration and what it is that provokes me to take a particular photo. That took a lot of thinking because I couldn’t really put my finger on any one reason. Sometimes I take them because I have an idea for a post that requires a photo. Other times I see something that inspires me to write a post. A good example is the yellow leaf road in this post. I took that photo because yellow leaf road was the first thing that came to my mind upon entering this area. I had already named part of this trail the 100 acre wood so naturally that photo came next, inspired by the first. And finally the house is so remote that I thought about the song “Over the hill and through the woods…” so, naturally, I named it grandmothers house. Most of the time, though, I take photos because I enjoy the scenery and how it makes me feel and I want to share that. With that in mind, the rest of the photos from this hike are on the Bolt Mountain site.
