i just read the NY times article…. good news, but i agree with judy bonds. if the state EPA had done their job, that fine would benefit our state, where the damage was done, instead of going to the federal govt.

I know… I’ve been drafting an article about that. Not only did we lose healthy streams and rivers - we lost any right to retribution. I bet the coal company wasn’t happy to pay but I bet the were happy to give it to the feds… just another way for them to take from the residents.
