   Both my grandfather’s were coal miners. My mother’s dad was killed in a coal mining accident 2 days after xmas when she was just 14…and the youngest of her siblings was an infant. That left my grandmother with 11 children to raise on her own. Pretty shocking when I think about it now.

   it is honestly amazing what people have had to endure
