  1. Very nice… looks like a nice place to set up a tent.

  2. It is a good place - secluded with plenty of hiking and fishing.

I grew up about two miles from this falls and in all of my time going there I have never seen anyone else there.

  3. where is peachtree falls? it’s lovely….

  4. Blue this is in Peachtree Hollow about a half mile upstream from Big Coal River. This is actually a creek and coming from the other direction it is about a mile downstream of where Drews creek and Peachtree creek come together.

This can’t be seen or heard from any road. The closest road is Peachtree road and it is about 300 yards up the mountain to the right of the falls with two cliff’s in between. I think one reason I’ve never seen anybody else there is because it takes a hike to get to it from any direction.

One of my favorite places on earth.

  5. That is a beautiful waterfall. It looks like a very peaceful place.

  6. Gorgeous!!!

  7. There is a lot of history at the falls to do with Indians. Just downstream from here is the Indian rock shelter.

It is gorgeous here any time of the year. This photo was taken in February of last year.

What a nice secluded spot…thanks for sharing it with us Denny!

  9. My cousin lives in Peachtree (well, Naomi but close enough).

    Gorgeous shot, as always.

Have you ever been to take pics of the buzzards in Charleston? They’re spectacular when they’re coming in to roost for the night or waking up, doing stretches in the morning.

  10. Your welcome Marian :) btw - hope you are feeling better.

Buzzardbilly - I know a lot of people in that area.

Buzzards in Charleston - that is kind of news to me.
