I thought I’d go ahead and post another update in this comment. Samson is still doing great and is right in the middle of the he is going to chew on everything phase.

With the way he has been acting lately I’m thinking he wasn’t even six weeks old when we found him. He has since turned into a full blooded puppy determined to investigate and then destroy with teeth, if possible, anything he comes across. He’s learning in one way by knowing my shoes are off limits but he seems to be under the impression that visitors shoes are fair game. Mostly because everybody teases him and lets him untie their shoes for them. He’s extremely playful and so far I have not heard him bark. He has growled a lot but has not yet barked. That is another indication he was younger than six weeks. I’m not sure he realizes just yet he has the ability to bark. I think he tries sometimes but it comes out sounding like somebody stepped on his tail. I find that odd for such a big puppy and funny.

Dennie the well behaved part goes along with leaving my shoes alone. He has Sam’s old toys so my shoes are basically off limits. This photo is an exception to the rule.
