Thanx Kim - You are interfering with my spread of disinformation. :)
But seriously thanx - that is not the first time I've confused the two plants. I have the correct photo.

Jeremy and Dennie - I'm a little late getting back. Had to get away from the blogs for a bit longer than expected. But I have a post or two in the works.

Hello - I was looking up dying with pokeweed and came across your blog. I'm afraid your picture was of elderberry, which is edible after you cook it and is quite good in jellies and juice (and wine). I have a good picture of pokeberry if you'd like to replace it. Kim

P.S. I have no doubt that elderberry also makes good dye. :)
