Any return visitors to this site will no doubt notice this blogs theme has changed… again. I have had the devil of a time trying to find just the right theme to keep up with the seemingly never ending updates from wordpress. As a blogger, I wish like hell they would get it right already.
In addition to the wordpress updates I have had serious issues with spam. With that in mind I have added a new plugin to this blog that not only catches the spam but also deletes it so the blogger doesn’t have to deal with it at all. The reason that was important to me is because I had to keep commenting closed after a post was up two weeks. In some cases I had to even trim that down to only 7 days. In my opinion you lose the whole purpose of a blog if readers cannot comment. That is especially true if you have older posts that are written to be informative or educational.
At any rate, I have reopened commenting to all posts old and new. The new spam counter is at the bottom of the left sidebar.
If you have a wordpress blog I’m sure you have spam issues to.
