I hate feeling alienated when MTR comes up. I'm a people person and I am usually pretty good at making friends. But above that I am a hillbilly and the mountains are my passion. You'd probably be surprised at how torn I am between wanting to keep my friends and needing to speak out about MTR. Unfortunately it seems to be one option or the other. In West Virginia, your friends judge you by how far you look in the other direction especially when faced with MTR. They expect you to see far enough to be able to look past the pollution, look over the destruction, and not even see the distraught residents. I have a problem with that.
