This blog has gone through some pretty hard times in its lifetime. Sometimes I wonder if I had kept the blog on a free server… would it have survived? Who knows. All I can do is keep coming back and picking up the pieces.
The last post on here is from 2008. I blogged here till 2010 but while trying to recover the core files from a serious theme malfunction I inadvertently deleted 2 years worth of photos. Since about 90% of my posts are photo related, about 2 years worth of posts were deleted. Without the accompanying photos the posts made no sense.
I have continued blogging at Endmtr.com but there again the posts have been sporadic at best for a while now.
I do really enjoy blogging. I haven’t stopped taking photos I’ve just stopped showing them accept on my Facebook page.
The last few days I have been working on both blogs in an effort to bring the core files up to date. I’m going to give this blog one more go and see what happens.
What have I been up to? Well I don’t live on Bolt Mountain anymore. I live in Beckley now and quite honestly I hate this town. Too many friends of coal to suit me.
I have two dogs, Abby and Zeus. Abby is the Shepherd and Zeus is a Miniature Pincher.
My camera of choice these days is a Canon Rebel. I have had it for over a year now and couldn’t be happier with it.
I still very much enjoy the occasional excursion into the backwoods but life kind of keeps me more grounded now than ever before so those trips are less frequent. That’s not to say I don’t go hiking. There are still plenty of places for a hike within earshot of civilization. I like to take the dogs and go for 2 or 3 hour hikes. I get a lot of photos and the dogs love the freedom.
At any rate, I’m going to try to resurrect this blog one more time for old times sake.
